New Stuff

I have two new items which will be appearing on TDIPT Mercantile the first of Dec. I can't wait, this will be my first month on this web site.

I'll be busy this week and will not be able to blog. Cooking and cleaning are on my list!

Here is a recipe to something I'm going to make. I can't wait to try it!!

Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cakes

Cake: 1 (18 1/4-ounce) package yellow cake mix

1 egg

8 tablespoons butter, melted

Filling: 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened

1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin

3 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

8 tablespoons butter, melted

1 (16-ounce) box powdered sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine the cake mix, egg, and butter and mix well with an electric mixer.

Pat the mixture into the bottom of a lightly greased 13 by 9-inch baking pan.

To make the filling: In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese and pumpkin until smooth.

Add the eggs, vanilla, and butter, and beat together.

Next, add the powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and mix well.

Spread pumpkin mixture over cake batter and bake for 40 to 50 minutes. Make sure not to overbake as the center should be a little gooey.

Serve with fresh whipped cream.

Snow Accumulation

I thought I would post some of the spots where the snow decided to stick for a moment. Everything looks as though it was dusted in powdered sugar!!! And the sky is ready for the transition even though I'm not yet. I just need a day or two of 60 degrees.

My little Sissy BooBoo- this is how you see her the majority of the day. She loves to hang with Ma Ma. My little girl is a mini aussie- I don't know if you'd consider her mini but she's supposed to be. I love you baby girl!!

I had a great time - Carolyn, Julie and Carol really know how to make you feel at home. The shop is a room off of Carolyn's house. It just takes your breath away when you walk inside. Handmade items as well as antiques. So cozy!! If you're in the neighborhood you should stop by- Shelby, Ohio.

Everybody was so excited about the show- it didn't open until 10 am but we had devoted troopers there at 7 am!!!
